Struggling with social media for your subscription box? Use this simple, repeatable plan to stay consistent, grow engagement, and get more subscribers!
Why does social media matter for subscription box businesses?
Social media isn’t just about getting likes and follows. It’s about building connections. It’s about staying top of mind with your ideal customers. And it’s about growing your subscriber base. All of which adds up to a growing, thriving subscription box business. One that serves your subscribers… and your life!
One of the biggest mistakes subscription box owners make when it comes to social media is being inconsistent.
Showing up consistently matters more than trying to be perfect. Check out this blog post for more about the importance of being consistent in your business.
Being consistent on social media matters. Consistency makes the algorithm happy, which means your posts, reels, stories, etc. get seen by more people. Consistency makes your audience happy–they want to engage with you and build those connections. They want to get to know you and your business.
Getting and staying consistent with social media can seem daunting. I get it. Inside Launch Your Box, I often get questions about what to post.
Today I’m sharing a simple, repeatable social media plan for subscription box owners. Following this plan will make posting consistently easier and increase your business’s visibility.
Find social media success with a weekly social media framework
To take your business to the next level–from hobby to side hustle or side hustle to full-time or growing to scaling–you need systems and processes in place. Systems and processes allow you to do all the things, but to do them effectively and efficiently. To do them in a way that allows you to concentrate on the things only you can do. The things that will truly make a difference.
Producing content for social media–showing up consistently–matters. Marketing your business is your number one job as a business owner. And social media is a crucial part of your marketing strategy.
Your weekly subscription box social media plan.
Make it easier to get and stay consistent on social media by using this framework.
It balances engagement, storytelling, and sales-driving content.
Even better, it’s manageable. I’m not asking you to post all day every day. Instead, we’re talking about 1 story a day, 1 LIVE a week, and a variety of reels and posts to engage, nurture, and convert.
Stick to this plan–consistently–and you’ll see engagement grow, trust build, and sales grow!
Monday – Behind-the-Scenes & Production Day
Don’t underestimate the power of letting people see what happens behind the scenes.
Current and future subscribers love seeing what goes into their boxes! Taking people behind the scenes lets them get to know YOU and your business. It makes them feel part of your business and your story.
Take inspiration from these ideas (notice not one of them is complicated or time-consuming!):
- Post Idea: Packing day time-lapse or a quick video of your workspace.
- Story Idea: A sneak peek with “Guess what’s inside this month’s box?”
- Live Video: “Pack With Me” – casually chat with your audience while assembling boxes.
Tuesday – New Arrivals & Product Highlights
Tuesday is all about building excitement.
When you’re excited, your audience will feel it and they’ll get excited, too. Engage them, bring them into your world, and let them in on the fun!
- Post Idea: Feature an item from the upcoming box—why it’s special.
- Story Idea: Poll—“Which color do you love more?”
- Reel Idea: Fun unboxing of one featured item.
Wednesday – Subscriber Shares & Community Love
It’s simple…Social proof sells!
I know I’m not the only one who never buys anything online without reading reviews first! Subscriber shares and testimonials from your community are your reviews. When a subscriber tells you how much they LOVE their box, share that far and wide! And if they send a pic of them using or wearing something from your box? Even better! (Just get permission before you share.)
- Post Idea: Share a customer review or unboxing photo.
- Story Idea: Repost a subscriber’s tag or DM.
- Reel Idea: Testimonial highlight or happy unboxing reaction.
Thursday – Connect through Relatable & Fun Content
Your audience doesn’t just want to be sold to—they want to connect. Thursdays are all about being relatable, having a little fun, and connecting with your audience.
- Post Idea: A meme, a funny “waiting for my box” gif, or a relatable post.
- Story Idea: “This or that” interactive poll.
- Reel Idea: POV-style video about the excitement of getting a box in the mail.
Friday – Subscription Benefits & Educational Content
You know why your subscription box is special. You know the difference it will make for your ideal customer (aka your future subscribers). Make sure they know, too! Tell your audience. Show your audience. Teach your audience.
- Post Idea: Carousel post on “How our subscription box makes your life easier.”
- Story Idea: FAQ sticker—“Ask me anything about our box!”
- Reel Idea: Face-to-camera video explaining a key benefit.
Saturday – Lifestyle & Engagement Content
Your subscription box is so much more than just a box of “stuff.” Use lifestyle and engagement content to showcase items in your box “in the wild.” Show your audience–including your subscribers–how to use items in your box. Bonus: this helps with retention!
- Post Idea: A cozy, styled image of box items in use.
- Story Idea: Weekend check-in or “How do you use your box?” poll.
- Live Video: “Weekend Unboxing Chat” – share how to use this month’s items.
Sunday – Call to Action & Last-Chance Offers
People need reminders! We’re all so busy. Like SO busy. Remind your audience–more than once–when you have special promotions or limited availability.
- Post Idea: “Last chance to get this month’s box!”
- Story Idea: Countdown sticker or urgent call-to-action.
- Reel Idea: Quick “What’s inside?” preview + urgency message.
Staying consistent even when you feel overwhelmed
This framework is here to support you. To make the “what do I post every day” problem faster and easier to solve.
Putting systems into place takes this framework to another level.
- Batch your content – Set aside one day a week to create posts.
- Use scheduling tools – Meta Business Suite is my choice. The algorithms prefer native schedulers.
- Repurpose content – One post can be a story, a reel, and a carousel with slight tweaks.
- Don’t overthink it – Just show up! Remember, social media rewards consistency over perfection.

The “secret” to social media success is to simply show up! Consistency is what separates successful subscription box businesses from those that struggle. Will you see immediate results? Probably not. But keep going. Every post, story, reel, or LIVE builds awareness and connection.
Use this framework. Put systems and processes in place. And most importantly, be consistent. Oh, and have fun with it! Social media is about being social, after all!
